Advising

Penn Engineering provides undergraduates with a robust network of advisors, featuring dedicated support at both the departmental and school levels.

School-level advising takes place through the Office of Academic Services (OAS) for any undergraduate Engineering student who needs assistance, and specifically in the following areas:

• Dual Degrees
• Internal Transfers
• Curriculum Deferred (have not yet declared a major)
• Study Abroad
• Connecting to University resources (e.g., Student Health & Counseling, Weingarten Center)

Students with questions about the Accelerated Master’s programs are encouraged to connect with graduate advisors.

During the Fall and Spring semesters, in-person drop-in advising is available Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  During the Summer semester, in-person drop-in advising takes place on Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

In order to be seen for Undergraduate Drop-in Advising, you must first join the line via QLess.  QLess will notify you when it is your turn, either via your mobile device or via the Queue screen outside of the OAS office (Towne 109).  You can join the line only on the days and times listed for Undergraduate In-Person Drop-in Advising.  Once you have been notified, make your way to the office and check in with the Front desk.
