Vivian Yao

I am a rising senior studying Bioengineering on the pre-med track. On campus, I am heavily involved in student publications such as 34th Street where I am a senior staff writer and The Daily Pennsylvanian where I was formerly the sports editor. I am also a member of Theta Tau — Penn’s preprofessional engineering fraternity — as well as Hex — Penn’s engineering senior society — and Carriage — Penn’s LGBTQ+ senior society. Outside of Penn, I volunteer at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the Morris Animal Refuge, and the VA Medical Center. I also work as an EMT in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. For fun, I enjoy watching sports (especially football, baseball, and soccer), reading, and planning out my next big trip!
