Gianna Lodato

My name is Gianna, and I’m a rising junior studying Mechanical Engineering & Applied Mechanics with a concentration in Energy, Fluids, & Thermal Systems and a minor in English. I am originally from North Caldwell, NJ, just outside of NYC. Outside of the classroom, I am a coxswain on the Varsity Lightweight Men’s Rowing Team and involved in the following extracurriculars: Kite & Key Society (campus tour guide + Outreach Chair), Wharton Music Business Club, Society of Women Engineers, Penn Appetit (food magazine), and Penn Athletics Wharton Leadership Academy. I also am a student researcher in the AWARE (Aerodynamics, Wind, & Renewable Energy) Lab, and I am spending my summer doing research. Additionally, I LOVE sports, and I’m often doing something sports-related in my free time whether it’s running, hiking, skiing, surfing, swimming, or watching the F1 Grand Prix. Lastly, I am a huge foodie; I love exploring new restaurants in Philly. Can’t wait to welcome you all to campus!
