Catherine Bai

Hi, I’m Catherine! I’m from Houston, TX, and I’m a rising junior in MEAM, minoring in Physics and Music. I’m currently applying for the submat/AM in MEAM as well. I work on structures on the Penn Rocketry Team, research structural mechanics with the Turner Research Group, and do some design work at ModLab. I’ve also TAed for a couple of engineering and physics classes. This summer, I’ll be researching fracture mechanics and magnetic materials and launching more rockets. I hope to work in the aerospace industry one day, focusing on structures. Outside of engineering, I’m in the Penn Band and Wind Ensemble. Additionally, I did some volunteering with the West Philly Tutoring Project and at local bike groups, and I hope to have more time for those next year. I look forward to getting to know y’all!
